  • Set up your SL-Institute account
    To start taking classes on SL-Institute, you'll need to set up an account.
    To make a SL-Institute account:
    1. Go to www.sl-institute.com.
    2. At the top of the page, select your language and click on my account.
    3. Provide your email and select a password

    If you choose to create a new SL-Institute account with a name, email, and password, your password needs to be 8 characters or longer.

    Once you create your account, you can change your account settings any time.
  • Change your SL-Institute account settings
    Using your Settings page, you can:
    Change the name you use on SL-Institute
    Change the email address you use on SL-Institute
    Change your SL-Institute password
    Change your address

    To change your SL-Institute account settings:
    Go to www.sl-institute.com
    In the top right corner, click on my account.
    Click account details.
    Make the changes you want, then click Save.

    To change your address
    Open your SL-Institute Settings page.
    On the left side of the screen, click Addresses
    Make the changes you want, then click Save.

    To solve problems with your SL-Institute account
    If you're having trouble with your SL-Institute account, try our account troubleshooting page.
  • Recommended browsers and devices
    You can use SL-Institute on a computer and mobile devices, like tablets and smartphones.
    If you're having problems with SL-Institute, you might be able to solve them by making sure you're using a supported browser or device, and making sure it's updated.

    Supported browsers
    SL-Institute supports the most recent versions of the following browsers on computers:

    - Google Chrome (recommended)
    - Firefox
    - Safari
    - Internet Explorer 11

    If you're using an older browser, updating your browser can help solve problems.

    Requirements for using SL-Institute on a computer
    To use SL-Institute on the web, you'll need a reliable Internet connection and a computer with at least 1 GB of memory/RAM.
  • Reset your SL-Institute password
    If you forgot your SL-Institute password, you can reset it.
    To reset your password:
    1. Open the my account page then on “lost my password”
    2. Enter the email address or the username you use with your SL-Institute account.
    3. We'll send you an email to change your SL-Institute password. If you don't get an email after a few minutes, check your spam folder.

    After you change or reset your password, you may need to clear your browser before using your new password.
  • Delete your SL-Institute account
    If you don't want to use your SL-Institute account anymore, you can delete your account.

    Before you delete
    Deleting your account won't stop payments. Ensure you cancel any active subscriptions on your account before deleting. If you delete your SL-Institute account, you may not be able to restore your old account information. You'll need to create a new account to use SL-Institute again.

    To delete your account:
    1. Log in to your SL-Institute account
    2. Click “contact us” in the top-right
    3. Send us a message with the subject: delete account
    4. Click send and you will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours that your account has been deleted.

  • Solve problem with your SL-Institute account
    If you need to change your SL-Institute account settings, like your name, email address, or password, you can use your Settings page.
    If you're having trouble with your SL-Institute account, check below.

    I can't log in to my SL-Institute account
    If you can't log in to your SL-Institute account:

    - Make sure you're using the right email address.
    - Try resetting your password.

    My email address isn't working
    If you see a message that says "We couldn't find an account associated with that email address" when you try to log in or change your password, the problem could be:

    - You used a different address when you made your SL-Institute account. If you have a different email address, try using that one.
    - You mis-typed your email address when you made your SL-Institute account. Try entering common typos or variations on your email address.

    A course I enrolled in is missing from my account
    If you can't find a new course after you enroll, check your courses or downloads for a list of your enrolled courses.

    My SL-Institute email was changed without my permission
    When you use your Settings to change the email address you use on SL-Institute, we'll send you an email.
    If you get an email about a change to your email address, but you didn't change your email in your Account Settings, please contact us using the link at the bottom of this page.
  • Available courses on SL-Institute
    SL-Institute provides two types of courses.

    1. Online courses constructed on the smart learning platform. It includes lessons, modules, quizzes, audios and videos. This content is available 24/7 on the platform.

    To complete a course, you must follow all of the chapters, also successfully complete all exercises, which include quizzes and activities. Otherwise, your progress bar will not show as completed, and for those eligible, you will not be able to access the certificate. Use the progress bar to review the status of each quiz and activity to ensure completion. Once you have checked all exercised and your progress remains incomplete, there could be a technical issue. Contact us by clicking, "contact us." In the request, state the name of the course, add a link to the course, include a screenshot, browser name, and the name of your operating system, etc. Our tech team will investigate the issue.

    2. eBooks available through digital download.

    These courses present the different concepts and let you learn on your device at your own pace. You don’t need to connect to the platform each time you want to work the courses. Some exercises are available on the eBooks to let you practice.
  • Reporting a typo or mistake within a course
    Our Education Teams are continually working on the quality and updating of the courses, but errors can slip through the cracks. If you encounter an error on a course, do not hesitate to inform our team by clicking the "Contact us" at the bottom of the page, in the footer. When possible, please include a screenshot and any additional details.
  • What to do if videos or images are unavailable
    Below are several troubleshooting options to review:
    - Check the extensions (plug-ins) installed on your browsers, such as AdBlock, which can block images and videos.
    - Change browsers or disable some extensions; you should be able to watch our videos without worry.

    If you are still unable to access, it can also come from a security system set up on your network, especially in a professional environment, with a restrictive firewall.
    - If you are not on a home network, ask the administrator if they can change your access permissions.
    - If you are on a home network, add www.sl-institute.com as an authorized site to see if this solves the problem.
  • Course certificates for eBooks available through digital download
    The student has to complete the exercices presented in the eBook and and send a copy to admin@sl-institute.com

    SL-Institute check the work that has been done and take a few days to send the certificate via email in PDF format
  • Course certificates for Online Courses
    A Course Certificate is an official SL-Institute credential that confirms that you successfully completed a course on SL-Institute.

    See your Course Certificates
    You can see all the Course Certificates you've earned on your certificate page. From there, you can download, print, or share your Certificates.
    You can also check your courses or downloads page to see courses you completed but did not earn Course Certificates for, and your final grades in all the courses you've completed.

    A Course Certificate includes:
    - The course name
    - The name of the student
    - The instructor's signature
    - A statement that SL-Institute has confirmed the identity of the learner who completed the course

    A Course Certificate does not include:
    - Academic credit from the partner institution offering the course
    - The final grade you got in the course
    - Your ID photo
    - The hours you spent working on coursework
    - A printed or mailed copy of the Course Certificate. Certificates are provided as downloadable PDF files, which you can print yourself. You can also share them electronically.

    Unfortunately, SL-Institute cannot provide course Certificates with any more information than they already include. SL-Institute cannot provide any information or documentation about your course progress, completion, grades, or other information besides the Course Certificate.
    Your Certificate for a course will be in whatever language you took the course in.

    Academic or professional credit
    SL-Institute Certificates do not provide professional or academic credits. If you need to know whether a SL-Institute Certificate will count toward accreditation for a specific organization or program, please ask a representative of that organization or program.
  • Payments
    To get a course, you will need to pay a fee.

    Course prices
    eBooks available through digital download on SL-Institute are offered for a one-time payment. Payments in some areas may include a sales tax. Sales tax will be listed on your checkout page.

    Online courses are available through subscription payments. When you subscribe to courses, you pay a fee which gives you access to the course on www.sl-institute.com for a year.

    To see subscription costs and options for a course:

    1. Log into your SL-Institute account
    2. Open the home page for the course you want to see the prices for
    3. Click Enroll

    Subscriptions
    When you subscribe to a SL-Institute online course, you pay an annual subscription to access the online courses you selected. This subscription is renewed each year.

    Pricing variations
    You may notice some variation in courses (Online and eBooks) prices on SL-Institute. This is normal, as we continually adjust our offerings based on new information about the value our courses provide to learners.

    To make sure that variations in price don't hurt your experience on SL-Institute, we're committed to be transparent. Prices are clearly displayed on our course payment pages. You'll always pay exactly the amount you see when you enter your payment information.
  • Accepted payment methods
    Credit / Debit cards
    You can make payments on SL-Institute using the following credit cards:

    - Visa
    - MasterCard
    - Discover
    - JCB
    - American Express (only for courses priced in $USD)

    Prepaid cards
    You can use a prepaid card from one of the above credit card brands for one-time payments.

    Paypal
    You can make payments on SL-Institute using PayPal in the following regions. You can send your payment to admin@sl-institute.com

    Coupons from third-party partners (Groupon…)
    SL-Institute accepts coupons purchased on third party partners such as Sapo, Atrapalo... If you want to get your courses while you already purchased your coupon, you will have to follow the “I get coupon” process.
  • Solve problems with payments
    If you're having issues with payments on SL-Institute, find your problem below.

    I submitted a payment but it's not showing up
    If you submitted a payment, check your order page to see if it went through.
    If a payment you made doesn't show up in your purchases, check your bank statement to see if the payment was processed by your bank.
    If your bank has a record of the purchase, but it's not appearing on SL-Institute, check to see if you have a different SL-Institute account.

    I get an error when I try to pay
    If SL-Institute can't process your payment, try:

    - Making sure you're using an approved payment method. Debit cards, pre-paid or gift cards, and PayPal may not work for certain types of payments or from certain countries.
    - Using a different browser or device
    - Clearing your cache and cookies

    I want to transfer payment to another course
    Unfortunately, SL-Institute cannot transfer payments across different courses.
  • I purchased a coupon from a third-party partners (Groupon…). How to proceed to get my courses ?
    To use a coupon you purchased on a third party platform, you'll need to set up an account on a
    I have a coupon page.

    1. Go to https://sl-institute.com/i-have-a-coupon
    2. Go to my account and register with your credentials.
    3. Select your course
    4. Proceed to payment
    5. Enclose your coupon in PDF format and add all the informations
    6. Select Coupon payment method
    7. Proceed to payment
    8. Access to the order
    9. Click on the course to download the materials
